Autorenewals at the Fullerton Public Library

Beginning December 3, 2025

  

To make borrowing easier, we offer two automatic renewals on most items, no action needed!

How it works

Here’s how it works:

  • Reminder:  Three days before your item is due, you'll receive a due date reminder email notification.

    • Return or Hold On:  At that point, you can either return the item or simply hold onto it until your next due date (unless you have already renewed twice or your item is otherwise ineligible for renewal*).  

  • Renewal Notice:  Two days before your item is due, you will receive an email with your new due date (and/or a failure to renew notice).*

  • Renewal Limit:  By default, most items can be renewed up to two times.*

  • Still Need More Time?  If you need a little longer, give us a call for a third maximum renewal (for eligible items).*

  • Important Notice:  Renewal notifications will be sent by email to patrons who have provided an email address.  While phone notices are not available for this service, patrons may check their account online anytime, 24/7, at www.fullertonlibrary.org or call 714-738-6334 during open hours.

     

Some items do not renew

* Please note that some items do not auto-renew:

  • Items with holds or requests from other patrons

  • New DVDs

  • WiFi hotspots

  • Items that have reached their renewal limit

Parks Passes only renew once
