Think there's a book we should be discussing, or that you'd like to see, but it isn't in FPL's collection? Suggest it for purchase!
Readers' Advisory Newsletter
Readers' Advisory is our quarterly newsletter for bibliophiles. Each issue of the newsletter varies in content, but usually features book reviews and recommendations from library staff members, as well as other features, such as bibliographies, author profiles, and read-alike lists.
Book Clubs
The Book Club Ready-To-Go kit lets you start your own discussion group, with your friends, family, or whomever you like! FPL provides ten copies of the book, information about the author, and other material to make it easy for your reading group to share the experience of a good book.
Novelist Plus Database
Novelist Plus allows staff and patrons to search for their favorite titles by series, plot summary and a host of other criteria. NovelistPlus is a valuable resource to anyone trying to find both fiction and nonfiction book information. This database provides subject headings access, reviews, annotations, and much more for hundreds of thousands of titles. It also includes other content of interest to readers, such as Author Read-alikes, What We're Reading, Book Discussion Guides, BookTalks, and Annotated Book Lists. For school media specialists and teachers there are Picture Book Extenders and articles on Teaching with Fiction.
This subscription database is available remotely (FPL cardholders only), and at the Fullerton Public Library.
