First Grade

California Recommended Readings in Literature
Mostly picture books, these stories help students to understand the basic features of reading through the selection of letter patterns and colorful illustrations which can be shared with the entire family.

Second Grade

These titles include picture books and reader level 2 stories which help students to recognize and use the different spelling patterns and encourage students to read through the use of various expressions.  Titles include Miss Nelson is Missing!  Fanny’s Dream, and Amazing Grace.

Third Grade
